"Susquemer" is a term from the miner himself! My friend Pat Rocks & Minerals LLC collects all of these smokey beauts himself!
This winged creation features a nice skeletal center piece with a mini at the very top. Unpolished and undrilled, these stones are whole physically ad energetically
A "Susquemer" is a variation of quartz found along the Susquehanna River bank in PA. She is a sister stone to the Herkimer Diamond as they share many physical features and even a river. The Susuehanna River runs thru upstate NY (where you find Herkimer Diamonds) and comes all the way down through PA. Their magic is connected by one of the oldest rivers in the country!
They share strong, glassy, and a naturally faceted crystalline structure. They do not need to be cut or polished~ they come out in perfect form already! even share similar light refractions within their faces which means they may have some beautiful little rainbows to find!
The biggest difference I would say is that Herkimers tend to run more clear while the Susquemer has a rich smokey color from the difference mineral content within their earthy mother. Suquemers also tend to have more skeletal inclusions which is a world of interest all in itself
